A trip made to review some magical places such as Yellowstone Park, the city of Seattle and the state of Alaska.
A BA flight Rome to Denver, rented a car and we drive to Cheyenne, then to Mount Rushmore National Park where is possible to see sculpted images of the American Presidents, Washington, Jefferson, Roosvelt and Lincoln.
After we go to the city of Buffalo (WY). Passing by Cody (a town entirely dedicated to Mr William Cody, AKA Buffalo Bill) then a dip in the wonderful nature of the Yellowstone park to look for Bears, Bison, Geysers, Wolves, Deers, Moose and other cute little animals.
A stop in Jackson to breathe a last breath of far and wild west air and a visit of the Grand Teton park before reaching Salt Lake City from where to fly to Alaska.
Arrive in Anchorage and head north to go see and visit, after a visit to the city of Talkeetna, the Denali National Park. A couple of days to enjoy its natural beauty, with a day tour within the vast area of the park overlooking the highest mountain in North America, the former Mount Mc Kinley and today’s Mount Denali (original name of the Athabaskian tribes).
A stop in the city of Fairbanks famous for being the starting point of the gold rush (thanks to an Italian emigrant who discovered it first) and famous dog sled races.
A day of transfer to the city of Valdez where we took a cruise to visit the glacier area of Prince William Sound with its islets of land and ice, its whales, its killer whales, its dolphins, its seals and sea otters … all overflown by American fish eagles.
Back to Anchorage, visited the places of the natives, released the car and flew to Seattle, where we spent a day among the Space Needle, museums and various attractions before getting back on the plane that brought us home.
Rome – Cheyenne
Prima tappa del viaggio verso la grande Natura americano. Atterrati a Denver ci siamo diretti verso il Wyoming il famoso e selvaggio west.
Mount Rushmore
Nel percorso verso il Parco Yellowstone una breve ma significativa deviazione verso il Parco del Monte Rushmore dove sono scolpiti nella roccia (anche e sopratutto grazie a un italiano) quattro grandi presidenti americani. Uno sguardo

Buffalo
Eccoci nel Regno dei Cow Boys, Buffalo e Cody due città che vivono sull’intramontabile William Cody AKA Buffalo Bill, Stampede, Negozi, piazze, monumenti e musei
Parco Yellowstone
E finalmente raggiungiamo la meta del grande e meraviglioso parco naturalistico istituito nel 1872 che vede protagonista la natura e i supervulcano che “dorme” sotto di esso
Grand Teton
Una sosta intermedia per respirare ancora per un po’ l’aria del selvaggio west andando in giro per il parco del Grand Teton e la cittadina di Jackson al centro della valle Jackson Hole circondata dai Monti Teton.
Parco Denali
Trasferimento aereo ad Anchorage e visita di un altro monumento naturalistico americano il Denali Park, Dominato dalla natura e dall’imponenza del monte Denali (il più alto degli Stati Uniti)
Valdez
Tappa obbligatoria per andare a vedere i ghiacciai del Prince William Sound
Seattle
Visita veloce in attesa del rientro in Italia, città bella, giovane e dinamica
